DESCRIPTION:Tuberculosis is a major global cause of infectious mortality a
nd morbidity\, and progress against it has been slow. One challenge to en
ding TB epidemics is that TB often reaches the health care system only af
ter many months of disease and potential transmission. This talk explores
the potential to achieve large reductions in TB by intervening at earlie
r stages. Dr. Kendall will review current evidence and share her ongoing
work (both field studies and modeling) designed to optimize interventions
  for early TB detection.\n\nSpeaker:\nEmily A. Kendall\, MD PhD\n\nAdmiss
