DESCRIPTION:Grief is part of nursing\, but it doesn’t belong only to patie
nts and families. Nurses may encounter loss repeatedly in their work whil
e also carrying their own personal and professional grief. This webinar b
 rings together Janice Whitaker\, MEd\, BSN\, RN\, CDP\; Hui-Wen Sato\, MS
 N\, MPH\, RN\, CCRN\; and Katherine Doebler\, RN\, BSN\, CHPN\, who bring
perspectives from across nursing disciplines\, including geriatrics and
 long-term care\, pediatric critical care\, and hospice\, palliative\, and
serious illness care. Together\, they will explore what grief literacy c
an look like in nursing\, from recognizing and responding to grief in pat
ient care to acknowledging the impact of loss on nurses themselves. The d
iscussion will address professional grief\, peer and workplace support\,
and practical ways to foster personal well-being and a culture where nurs
es have space to grieve\, reflect\, and care for themselves as well as ot
hers. Through the Grief–Sensitive Healthcare Project (GSHP) at Yale Child
Study Center\, support is provided to healthcare professionals in respon
ding to grief and loss with confidence and compassion while attending to
their own well-being. No-cost offerings explore how to navigate the many
ways grief shows up across healthcare. Webinars\, online learning resourc
es\, and virtual or in-person seminars and workshops are tailored to the
audience and setting. Learn more about GSHP training and resources .\n\nS
