DESCRIPTION:HAVEN Free Clinic's 12th annual ¡ANDA! 5K fundraiser is on Sun
 day\, Oct. 4 at 8 a.m. at Edgewood Park. The HAVEN Free Clinic \, organiz
 ed by students from Yale Schools of Medicine\, Public Health\, Nursing\, 
 and the Physician Associate Program\, provides primary care services to u
 ninsured patients in Greater New Haven. This fundraiser contributes up to
  70% of HAVEN’s total annual budget\, and allows us to provide the high-q
 uality\, equitable services our patients need every week. We would love i
 t if everyone in the community would sign up to run\, walk\, donate\, or 
 sponsor a friend to help us reach our fundraising goal of $40\,000. You c
 an register for the 5K\, learn more about the event\, and help fundraise 
 on our ¡ANDA! 5K website . You also can explore teams from across Yale's 
 campus that you can join or support. One hundred percent of the proceeds 
 of the fundraiser go directly to patient care\, including reproductive he
 alth services\, tuberculosis treatment\, behavioral health sessions (in p
 artnership with Connecticut Mental Health Center’s Hispanic Clinic)\, and
  specialty care\, among many other services. Along with clinical care\, s
 tudent volunteers connect patients to medical debt relief\; emergency cas
 h assistance for rent\, utilities\, and food\; and legal assistance throu
 gh our medical-legal partnership. For over 20 years\, Yale students from 
 across the university have volunteered with HAVEN Free Clinic. It is a cr
 itical partnership between the Yale community\, community-based organizat
