DESCRIPTION:Dr. S. Yin Ho is a serial entrepreneur and Health IT executive
with over 25 years ofexperience building healthcare technology companies
. Most recently Interim CEO ofVeradigm (NASDAQ: MDRX)\, she led the acqui
sition of generative AI company Science IO.Before that\, she founded Cont
ext Matters (acquired by Clarivate) and held leadership roles atPfizer\,
Aetion and Medidata. A former emergency physician\, she now chairs the bo
ard ofSegmed\, a radiology imaging aggregator and advises several AI heal
th startups. She wrotethe award-winning book Rushing Headlong: Health IT'
s Legacy and the Road to ResponsibleAI\, and holds degrees from Brown (B.
A.)\, Yale (M.D.) and Harvard (M.B.A.). In her talk\, Dr. Ho explores how
AI is moving from writing physicians' notes to suggesting their diagnose
s\, but the liability for every decision still rests with the clinician w
hose name is on the chart. Dr. Ho\, a former emergency physician and long
-time health IT and life sciences entrepreneur/executive\, traces how bil
ling-first EHRs pushed clinical thinking aside\, and how AI trained on th
ose records now risks automating that loss and eroding physician judgment
. She argues that responsible AI is less about ethics frameworks and more
about who holds the power to decide. --- Yale Urology grand rounds is a
