 sha Juthani\, Commissioner of the Connecticut Department of Public Health
 . Dr. Juthani is the first Indian American to serve as a commissioner in 
 the State of Connecticut and is an adjunct professor at YSPH and Yale Sch
 ool of Medicine. She established the Office of Firearm Injury Prevention 
 at DPH and leads the state Commission on Community Gun Violence Intervent
 ion and Prevention. Dr. Juthani is visiting YSPH as part of CDE567 Injury
  and Violence as Public Health Issues. She will share her experience as a
 n appointed government official working to reduce injury and violence and
  to improve public health. Students at YSPH will lead this one-hour inter
