DESCRIPTION:Implementation science\, or the study of methods to improve th
 e adoption\, implementation\, and sustainment of evidence-based practices
  (EBPs)\, has grown exponentially in the past two decades. In this talk\,
  I will share an overview of my research with an eye towards grounding th
 e findings within the broader field and practice applications. First\, I 
 will describe what implementation science is and how it differs from othe
 r types of applied research. Second\, I will share learnings related to c
 onducting implementation science. I will draw on the partnered work that 
 I have conducted over the past two decades across settings. Third\, I wil
 l offer implications for the future of implementation science. Implementa
 tion science offers tremendous promise to realize the promise of the disc
 overies over the past few decades. However\, these advances will not be m
 ade without paradigm shifts within the field\, including intentional and 
 resourced commitment to closing the gap between what we know and what we 
 do—and investing in implementation\, not just discovery.\n\nSpeaker:\nRin
