DESCRIPTION:Gary Adamkiewicz is an Associate Professor of Environmental He
 alth and Exposure Disparities at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public H
 ealth (HSPH)\, where he leads the Healthy Cities Lab. Dr. Adamkiewicz’s w
 ork focuses on the connections between housing and health\, and on unders
 tanding disparities in environmental exposures. His research has included
  studies of indoor environmental conditions within the homes of children 
 with asthma\, and studies that aim to understand the housing factors that
  contribute to environmental risks\, with a focus on low-income communiti
 es. He has worked with national\, state\, and local agencies on projects 
 that aim to reduce the burden of disease from environmental issues. Dr. A
 damkiewicz has served as a member of the Science Advisory Committee for t
 he National Center for Healthy Housing and has served on the U.S. Environ
 mental Protection Agency’s Environmental Justice Technical Guidance Revie
 w Panel\, under the auspices of the agency’s Science Advisory Board. He h
 as also served as an advisor to the World Health Organization’s effort to
  establish indoor air quality guidelines. Dr. Adamkiewicz holds a Ph.D. i
 n chemical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and
