DESCRIPTION:The climate is expected to play a driving role in the transmis
sion of many infectious diseases with implications for climate change. Ho
wever\, the impact of the climate on directly-transmitted diseases i.e. d
iseases that spread directly person-to-person\, such as COVID19 and influ
enza\, has been less well studied. Here I use statistical inference\, mec
hanistic modeling and climate change projections to characterize the clim
ate drivers of directly-transmitted disease outbreaks\, and explore the f
uture risk from climate change\, while accounting for variability and unc
ertainty. YSPH values inclusion and access for all participants. If you h
ave questions about accessibility or would like to request an accommodati
on\, please contact Christina Ciarleglio at christina.ciarleglio@yale.edu
