 e\, we are delighted to announce that we will host the “Climate Change Cr
 isis and Environmental Justice in the Amazon: Voices from Indigenous Peop
 les and Activists” conference at Kroon Hall Auditorium (195 Prospect St.)
  on Friday\, May 10 at 8:45am. The conference will feature a keynote by M
 arina Silva\, the Brazilian Minister of the Environment\, as well as othe
 r key indigenous rights leaders and scholars in this field. This event is
  in honor of the journalists\, writers\, and activists Dom Phillips and B
 runo Pereira who were assassinated in the Amazon in June 2022. For some b
