DESCRIPTION:Despite overall reductions in incidence globally\, rates of HI
V and sexually transmitted infections (STI) remain alarmingly high among
marginalized populations and in resource-constrained settings\, which poi
nts to the need for new ways to examine and address the factors underlyin
g these inequities. My current research integrates exciting methodologies
to tackle this issue and involves enhancing traditional epidemiologic da
ta with additional data sources\, such as social and molecular network da
ta. This talk will accomplish the following: (a) provide a basic understa
nding of some of the social and molecular network analysis methods availa
ble for mitigating HIV and STIs\, (b) provide examples of their applicati
on\, and (c) discuss the ethical considerations of their use.\n\nSpeaker:
