Title: Overcoming Challenges in Initiating XR-naltrexone to Prevent Opioid Use Disorder Relapse
Learning Objectives:
- Define how naltrexone works as a medication for opioid use disorder (OUD), including its advantages and potential drawbacks.
- Describe the step-by-step processes and considerations for starting naltrexone treatment in patients who are currently using opioids.
- Review and interpret findings from a multisite clinical trial evaluating the effectiveness and implementation of a rapid initiation method for XR-naltrexone treatment.
Addiction Medicine Rounds are CME accredited. Each session will be assigned 1 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM.
