Description:

The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has had a profound and unprecedented global impact, with over 27 million cases and over 450,000 deaths in the United States alone. Over the last year, novel vaccination modalities, treatment methods, and preventative measures have been developed in response to COVID-19. Information on the pathophysiology of COVID-19, its long-term health implications, and vaccine safety is constantly evolving while the entire healthcare system has had to adapt to these ever-growing changes. It has become imperative for physicians to be abreast of the most current information on COVID-19 and its vaccine so that they may incorporate this knowledge into their clinical practice to optimize patient care. This course will also delve into novel therapeutics for the oncologic patient and implications of adverse events in other specialties.
