DESCRIPTION:This half-day workshop is designed to assist with preparing fo
 r travel abroad for Yale affiliated projects. It is interactive and inclu
 des group discussions of case studies\, practical applications\, a modera
 ted panel\, and other networking activities. Topics: Yale travel safety r
 esources and protocols\, personal health and safety\, global health pract
 ice and research ethics\, student and faculty experience panel\, in addit
 ion to other region/country specific small group breakouts. This workshop
  is required for all 1st year MPH students* traveling internationally for
  their summer APE\, or internship\, as well as working in other global he
 alth capacities (ex: domestic or in a high-income country). YSPH sponsore
 d summer funding will not be disbursed until verified completion. *All Do
 wns Fellowship recipients\, regardless of their school/program affiliatio
 n\, are also required to complete the workshop. All registrants will have
  access to the Canvas site “Preparing for Global Health Experiences”. Thi
 s site includes a multitude of important Yale resources\, and other mater
 ials needed to prepare for the workshop (where applicable). Any required 
 (or recommended) materials or logistical actions will be communicated thr
