DESCRIPTION:Over the past 6 years\, the US public health ecosystem has fac
 ed unprecedented demands. Today\, in the aftermath of the pandemic\, with
  sharply decreased public trust and seismic shifts to funding\, resilienc
 e will require a reinvigorated workforce and strong leadership. Using rea
 l-world examples\, we explore the challenges of making tough decisions in
