DESCRIPTION:From 2009–2020\, USAID operated a program called PREDICT that
aimed to identify where animal viruses were most likely to spill over and
infect people. PREDICT developed scientific and state capacities to asse
ss risks associated with human-wildlife contact across Asia\, Africa\, an
d Latin America. While the program introduced new approaches to understan
ding pandemic spillover\, its work also revealed challenges related to gl
obal health security\, health equity\, and the structural drivers of pand
emic risk. In this talk\, Dr. Holmberg will be discussing PREDICT’s appro
ach to pandemic prevention\, its limitations\, and what its story can tel
l us about building more equitable and effective global health security s
ystems. YSPH values inclusion and access for all participants If you have
