Postdoctoral Associate in Genetic Epidemiology
One postdoctoral associate position is available in the DeWan lab to study the genetic epidemiology of complex traits, including asthma, adiposity, type 2 diabetes, blood pressure, Alzheimer’s disease, and childhood cancers among others. A major focus of the lab is studying the genetic correlations of these complex traits including the identification and dissection of pleiotropic loci. This position seeks an individual with a strong computational background to design novel approaches for analyzing high-throughput genetic data from a number of existing studies.
Applicants must have a Ph.D. in either genetic epidemiology, statistical genetics, human genetics, biostatistics, computational biology, or a closely related discipline. Computer programming skills (e.g., C/C++, Python/Perl, R) and relevant data analysis skills are requirements for the position.
Applicants must submit a cover letter including a statement of research interests, a CV, and contact information (name with position title, phone, and email address) for three references.
For questions, please email Dr. DeWan.
