Postdoctoral Associate Position in Cancer Metabolomics

Job Description

A postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Caroline H. Johnson at the Department of Environmental Health Sciences, Yale School of Public Health, Connecticut, USA. The applicant will use LC-MS-based metabolomics analysis to understand the role of dietary and microbial metabolites in colorectal cancer and related signaling pathways. The type of analysis will include preparation of biological samples, mass spectrometry analysis (QTOF), data processing and statistical analysis. The applicant can also be involved in the development of mechanistic studies under additional supervision.

Applicant Skills

The individual must hold a Ph.D. degree in a Chemistry or Life Sciences discipline and have demonstrated experience in LC-MS-based metabolomics. Experience in R programming is desirable. The candidate will be expected to apply for additional external postdoctoral funding and assist in writing other grant applications.
