Postdoctoral Associate Position in Environmental Health Sciences

Dr. Nicole Deziel, Associate Professor in the Environmental Health Sciences Department at the Yale School of Public Health, has an immediate opening for a postdoctoral associate in environmental exposure science and environmental epidemiology. Professor Deziel’s research is focused on applying spatial metrics, biomonitoring techniques, and environmental measurements to provide comprehensive and quantitative assessments of exposure to traditional and emerging environmental contaminants in population-based studies of cancer and child health outcomes. The main project of interest is a study of environmental exposures and pediatric thyroid cancer, although a variety of other projects are available.

Position will involve leading innovative research that includes quantitative data analysis, graphical exploration and display of data, and writing manuscripts. The position is available for one year at a competitive salary with benefits, with a possibility of extension. The postdoctoral associate will receive dedicated mentoring and training and have opportunities to present at professional conferences and apply for grant funding.

Qualifications include a PhD in environmental health, epidemiology, biostatistics, or related discipline, strong quantitative and coding skills, excellent oral and written communication skills, and a strong interest in exposure science.
